As reported previously, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) recommended an increase from the previous season's limit of 581 to 653 for the 2018-2019 season, equaling an additional 72 permits.

Yesterday, the Utah Wildlife Board approved the increase to total 642 permits. Slightly less than the recommended quantity, nonetheless totaling 61 additional opportunities to take a cougar for the 2018-2019 season.
