Among other hunting regulations and restrictions that have made headlines recently, the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners have just unanimously passed (7-0) a major restriction of shed hunting within the following counties: Elko, Eureka, Lander, Lincoln, Nye, White Pine.
According to the official regulation report, "A person shall not take or gather shed antlers from or on any public land located [in the counties above] at any time from January 1 to April 30, inclusive."
As the commission stated during the passing of the new regulation, it is currently in effect.

It appears that there is a delay in the official announcement of the amendment due to inclement weather and the closure of state offices, as reported on the Nevada Department of Wildlife Facebook page.
