According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, due to conditions brought on by widespread drought throughout the state, additional antlerless elk (723) and doe pronghorn (35) permits have been approved for sale at 8:00am MDT on September 6th.

The Utah Wildlife Board approved this increase of permits with the purpose of protecting the longterm health of wildlife habitats. They did so in yesterday's board meeting, where they approved the recommended increase in cougar permits as well.
